Finals .. Winter Break .. Sugar Bowl

Finals are almost done, and I will soon get to go home and do some hardcore applying for schools and jobs. My future looks so far away but now its only a semester away. I just hope to get a nice relaxing last winter break, which looks to be pretty uneventful. I hope all of you have a great break, along with anyone that is going to the Sugar Bowl this January 3rd.

First day back from break, and classes are back in full swing. We only have 1.5 weeks more of classes and then its 1.5 weeks of finals. After that its only one more semester till we’re out! Break was not pleasant .. so I’am definitely glad to be back. Ragyi and I actually were able to come back early for the UVA vs VT game which was awesome! Final score: 24 to 10, VT .. hellz yea! =P Then later that night was the first time for me in downtown B-burg .. an interesting but good experience. =) Its definitely been a crazy week and weekend, but hell week is about to start .. not looking forward to that. =/ Good luck to all those who have tons and tons of projects due in the next week! (this of course includes me)

Bush, Diwali, Garba .. not a good combo

And so the elections came and went, we lost, but hey we can’t do much if the majority of Americans decide to re-elect W. All we can do is hope that America doesn’t suffer anymore. Yesterday was Diwali. Ragyi and I did laxmi puja and had some sweets. Diwali is the festival of lights and the Hindu new year. The Hindu calendar is lunar so the date of this occasion always is different every year. Also, last weekend was Ragyi’s show for garba. Yay for dances! =) Too bad I couldn’t do one this year. =/

The Beginning of the Journey

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking of what life will be after this year. How we are all going to be going off on our own paths and leaving everything behind us .. except for the memories. Memories last till you like to keep them. Blacksburg will definitely not be the same as it would be with all the people here .. I guess I’ve become too attached to them. I will miss everyone that has helped me to morph into the person that I have become now, and I hope that we all will be able to someday meet again..but we shall see where the journey of life takes us [more]
