The Road Less Traveled

Robert Frost said to take the road less traveled. Robert Frost had a choice, but what if there is only one path. This one path, filled with prickly thorns all over and bursts of flames, with witches and devils, and with posinous streams, is what I must keep trecking in.

Nonetheless, I can see the end. It seems so near yet so far away. There is a golden temple like structure. When I reach this building I’m fenced out from all sides, these bars are invisible to the distant, yearning eyes. Trying to look in, I rest my hands on the bars and immediately the doors of the building close. Not only can I not have but I can’t even look at what I have endured pain for. Something so great, something so wanted, is forbidden from all sides.

A song’s lyrics come to mind:

mann mein umeedon ka silsila hai
    the mind travels with hope
apane mann ka kisko kya mila hai
but who ever gets what they want?
jeet hain kabhi toh maat bhi hai
sometimes you win and sometimes you lose
lamha lamha lamha zindagi hai
but all moments make up life
lamha kal hai, aaj bhi hia
yesterday was a moment and so is today

This song says no matter what life brings you, what problems it shows you it will go on.
